The Flathead Valley is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, with mountains, pristine lakes, and vast expanses of forest. Not to mention you are a quick drive away from Glacier National Park.
Flathead Valley Vibes
With the town of Lakeside just 3 miles away, you will feel tucked away in the wilderness yet close to all the comforts of town. Lakeside is a small town right on Flathead Lake – the largest fresh water lake west of the Mississippi.
We got to stay here for this special project and absolutely loved our stay!
The cabin is so stylish and well appointed. It had everything we needed. Sitting out by the large fire pit on a fall evening was absolute magic. I was thrilled to be part of this project as I grew up down the road! I have fond memories of being “free range” kids back before that was a term you would need to use. My brother and I ran around those mountains and forests making tree forts and riding bikes down to Flathead Lake. I took a detour on this trip to visit the location of our home that is no longer there and remember some mighty fine times as kids.
The Ceremony Space
Host your ceremony down at the forested Island and be greeted by the tranquil sound of running water from the surrounding moss laden creek and natural spring. Then host your reception around the large community fire pit with a grassy meadow. This area perfect for a reception, food trucks or live music. This fire pit is propane with a push to start button and timer – so easy!
The Cabins
Stay on property with your closest family and friends in one of the 6 six vintage & modern inspired cabins! Each cabin has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen and bathroom hosting up to 24 guests onsite. Each cabins has their own private patio and fire pit!
All seasons – In spring brings wildflowers and sunshine, in fall immerse yourself in the beautiful changing colors and in winter the snowy backdrop creates a magical winter wonderland. Each season brings an incredible experience at this venue.
The Cabins at Blacktail is truly the perfect Montana backdrop for those searching for a gorgeous, intimate experience while surrounded by the forest, mountains and stars.
Looking to host a larger party? The event maximum on property is 100 guests for the day of the event.
Let’s Celebrate
After the ceremony, you enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by a local chef, dining under the open sky. One of our favs – Chef Daniel Cox joined this intimate elopement. We have done several intimate elopement dinners together and its so awesome to create something so special for our couples. From table design and rentals to the custom menu Daniel creates this is really something special.
Imagine sitting by a cozy campfire with your partner, roasting marshmallows and gazing at the stars. It’s just the two of you, sharing s’mores and cherishing the moment.
